Bridge market

The market niche between the designer and contemporary market. The bridge market was originally suit driven and later became more casual. It was a way for designer collections to capitalize on their name by offering less expensive merchandise for the customer who is brand conscious. Examples are DKNY, Dana Buchman, and Ellen Tracy.
